Cookie Policy

A cookie, or more broadly a tracker, is a small file placed on your device by a website in order to keep a piece of information between two pages or two visits. On AtlasSIM these mechanisms almost exclusively serve to run the service: keeping your session open while you check your balance, remembering the language and currency you chose, and sparing you from re-entering the same settings on every order.

AtlasSIM uses both classic HTTP cookies, placed by our authentication provider to manage the session, and browser local storage for your display preferences. Local storage is never automatically sent to our servers: it stays on your device and is only read by the application running in your browser.

We deliberately kept the number of trackers to a minimum. AtlasSIM sets no advertising cookies, no retargeting trackers, and never sells browsing data to ad networks.

The trackers present on AtlasSIM fall into three clearly distinct categories, described below and detailed in the summary table.

Strictly necessary: they enable authentication, session security and the protection of sensitive operations such as payment or buying a number. Without them signing in and accessing a personal area is impossible. They cannot be disabled from within the application.

Preferences: they store your interface choices — language, currency, light or dark theme, last service and last country used. They improve comfort of use but are not required for the service to work.

Audience measurement: when audience measurement is enabled, it is configured in aggregate mode to analyse visit volumes and navigation paths, without building an advertising profile or cross-matching data with commercial third parties.

The following table lists the trackers actually used by the AtlasSIM application, their purpose and their retention period. This list is updated whenever the platform changes significantly.

Names starting with “sb-” are generated by our authentication provider and contain a technical project identifier; their content is a signed token that cannot be used by a third party to reconstruct your password.

Strictly necessary trackers are set as soon as a session opens because they are a technical condition of the service you requested; under applicable regulation they do not require prior consent. Preference trackers are only created at the moment you actually change a setting, for example switching language or currency.

Should a non-essential audience measurement be introduced, it would be subject to an explicit consent request displayed before any tracker is placed, with the option to decline without any degradation of the service. Your choice would then be stored and remain changeable at any time from this page.

You can erase stored preferences at any time from your browser settings: the application will simply fall back to its defaults, namely French and light mode.

All modern browsers let you block, restrict or delete cookies and local storage, usually under “Privacy and security” or “Browsing data”. You can also browse in private mode: in that case every tracker is removed when the window is closed.

Please note: blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents you from signing in to your AtlasSIM account. You will still be able to browse the public pages — pricing, help, API documentation — but you will not be able to buy a number or view your balance.

If you use a script blocker or an enhanced protection extension, you may need to explicitly allow the atlas-sim.org domain so that real-time code reception works correctly.

AtlasSIM relies on a small number of technical providers that may set their own trackers when one of their pages is displayed: our authentication and database provider for the session, our Mobile Money payment provider and our cryptocurrency payment provider when you are redirected to their checkout page, and our infrastructure provider for abuse protection and load balancing.

These trackers are governed by the respective privacy policies of those providers. AtlasSIM receives neither your bank credentials nor your crypto wallet keys: that information is entered directly on the secure interfaces of the payment providers.

This policy may change when new features are introduced or when a provider is added or replaced. The last-updated date shown at the top of the page is authoritative.

In the event of a substantial change affecting your rights or introducing a non-essential tracker, a visible notice will be displayed in the application before the change takes effect.
