Compliance and legitimate use

AtlasSIM provides virtual numbers intended for receiving verification SMS in a strictly lawful context: protecting your privacy when signing up somewhere, testing applications, verifying business accounts, quality-checking SMS campaigns or developing technical integrations.

Any use aimed at circumventing the law is strictly prohibited and results in immediate account closure without refund of the remaining balance: identity theft, payment fraud, spam, harassment, mass creation of fake accounts, or circumventing a ban issued by a third-party service.

Our systems continuously monitor abnormal usage patterns — unusual purchase rates, systematic reuse of a single service across multiple accounts, suspicious payment attempts — and may preventively suspend an account pending verification.

Payments, KYC and anti-money laundering

Payments are handled by specialised providers regulated in their respective jurisdictions: a Mobile Money provider for Africa and a cryptocurrency payment provider. These partners apply their own know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering procedures, independently of AtlasSIM.

AtlasSIM stores no card number, no private wallet identifier and no signing key. We only keep the amount, currency, timestamp, transaction reference and status — the elements required for accounting and dispute handling.

Above certain top-up thresholds, or when an anomaly is detected, additional identity verification may be requested before the balance is released. That verification is handled manually by our compliance team and the documents provided are deleted as soon as the case is closed.

Reporting abuse

If an AtlasSIM number has been used to commit abuse against you or against your platform, write to abuse@atlas-sim.org stating the number involved, the approximate date and time, and the nature of the abuse observed.

Every report is reviewed within 24 business hours. When abuse is confirmed, the originating account is suspended and the number is removed from rotation. We inform the reporter of the outcome, within the limits allowed by the data protection rights of the account concerned.

Platform operators who wish to set up a recurring reporting channel or a number-range list can contact us to establish a dedicated procedure.
